Applied mindfulness in clay

A journey toward unique bowls, diverse objects and the 1000 Vases Challenge

NES CERAMICS is a studio where making ceramics is embraced as a form of applied mindfulness. Here, work is born from a place of stillness, deep attention, and an intuitive creative process. While the final piece is important, it is the challenging journey of making itself that takes center stage in the studio.

This philosophy directly fuels my personal creative mission: the 1000 Vases Challenge, a dedicated pursuit of crafting 1000 entirely unique vases, alongside an evolving collection of bowls and other objects.

Through these forms, I explore the delicate interplay of tension, balance, and movement. My work ranges from small, highly refined objects to large, expressive statements, varying from the raw purity of unglazed ceramic to intense color palettes and subtle metallic effects. Each piece tells its own story, inviting you to pause, look closely, and experience a moment of calm, strength, and wonder.
